Shahi Paneer

For 4 persons
Ingredients:
  • 300 gms cottage cheese(paneer)
  • 1 tsp. khattai(dry mango powder)
  • A pinch of heeng
  • 3 ripe tomatoes
  • 3 onions
  • 1/2 tsp.cumin seeds(jeera)
  • 2 tbsps.cream (malai)
  • 1 Piece ginger(adrak)
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp. chilli powder,
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder(haldi)
  • 3/4 whole corainder(sabut dhaniya)
  • 3/4 tsp. garam masala powder
METHOD

  • Grind onions, adrak, khattai, salt, mirch, haldi, garam masala and sabut dhaniya with little water.
  • Grind tomatoes separately.
  • Cut paneer into cubes and fry it in ghee till roast.
  • Heat oil in kadai and fry the spices on low heat till brownish.
  • Add tomato puree and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Mix 2 cups of boiling water to prepare gravy.
  • Bring to a boil and add paneer pieces.
  • Boil for 3-4 minutes and remove from the heat.
  • Garnish with cream and hara dhaniya.
  • Serve with poori or chapatis.
  • Enjoy :-)
