For 4 persons
Ingredients:
- 300 gms cottage cheese(paneer)
- 1 tsp. khattai(dry mango powder)
- A pinch of heeng
- 3 ripe tomatoes
- 3 onions
- 1/2 tsp.cumin seeds(jeera)
- 2 tbsps.cream (malai)
- 1 Piece ginger(adrak)
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tsp. chilli powder,
- 1/2 cup ghee
- 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder(haldi)
- 3/4 whole corainder(sabut dhaniya)
- 3/4 tsp. garam masala powder
METHOD
- Grind onions, adrak, khattai, salt, mirch, haldi, garam masala and sabut dhaniya with little water.
- Grind tomatoes separately.
- Cut paneer into cubes and fry it in ghee till roast.
- Heat oil in kadai and fry the spices on low heat till brownish.
- Add tomato puree and fry for 2 minutes.
- Mix 2 cups of boiling water to prepare gravy.
- Bring to a boil and add paneer pieces.
- Boil for 3-4 minutes and remove from the heat.
- Garnish with cream and hara dhaniya.
- Serve with poori or chapatis.
