Crispy Plantain Fritters / Vazhakai Bhajji

Preparation TIme : 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Servings : 2


Plantain - 2
Besan Flour / All purpose flour - 1 cup
Red Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
Bread Crumbs - half cup
Salt - to taste
Oil - for frying


Wash and peel the plantain skin. Slice plantain vertically in to thin pieces.Keep it aside.Make a 
batter of flour with salt, red chili powder and water. Heat oil in a frying pan, dip each plantain slice in the batter and the roll them on the bread crumbs. Deep fry them until golden brown. Serve hot with ketchup.
